Bookmarking threads allows you to keep up with updated activity. You will need to both bookmark the threads you wish to follow and turn on notifications.
Follow these steps to receive notifications by email of updated activity in any existing threads that you are interested in and wish keep up with. You can turn off notifications at any time.
How to turn on notifications for Bookmarked threads
1. Set notifications for Bookmarked threads. For more info about how to set this and other notifications please see Important: Directions for Turning on Notifications. Very quickly, the steps are: Go to your Profile > Edit Profile > Notifications. A long list will appear. Scroll down until you see the setting for threads you have bookmarked. Choose how you wish to be notified by email in the drop-down menu. You can also check the box to set them to appear within the forum when you are signed in
How to Bookmark a Thread
1. First, navigate to the board that has the thread in it that you want to receive notifications for. In this case I have navigated to "Staying in Touch" within "Welcome! Please Start here".
2. Next, hover over the thread you wish to bookmark. A small box will appear to the left of the title. Check the box and then select the "Actions" drop down menu. Once it is open, choose "Bookmark".
After it is bookmarked, you will see a bookmark icon to the left of the title of the thread. That let's you know it was successfully bookmarked!
Optional way to Bookmark a thread: You can also bookmark a thread from inside if it. While viewing the thread, select the drop down "Actions" menu and select Bookmark.
After you have bookmarked your first thread, a new Menu item will appear in the top Menu Bar called "Bookmarks". Selecting “Bookmarks” will reveal a list of all the threads you have bookmarked.
You can manage your bookmarks from here. You can remove any bookmarks at any time and manage them in bulk if desired. Simply hover over the thread(s) you wish to manage, select the box to the left of the title again, choose the “Actions” drop down menu, and select “Remove Bookmark”.
Again, make sure you have turned on notifications for Bookmarked threads in your profile.
