***** UPDATE 2018 *****
The information below is no longer current or needed, but I am leaving this thread here for any members who are still relying on the information in it. The information is obsolete because the features of our forum have changed. That is good news! ProBoards, the host of our forum, The Titus Cafe, has added new features that will make staying in touch a lot easier. You are now able to turn on notifications for NEW threads and posts! Please visit Important: Directions for Turning on Notifications for updated directions. There you will learn how to turn on these new notifications which are reached through your profile. You may also wish to visit the updated thread about using bookmarks:Important: Directions for Bookmarking Threads. If you have any questions, please send me a PM.

Being aware of new activity is vital for a successful online group. We want members to know when new threads have been started so they can join in the conversation. Right now, this platform does not allow for notifications of brand new threads. I have heard that an update is coming that will add that feature. Yay! Until then, I have developed a work around to solve this problem and help members be notified of new threads so they don’t miss out on anything.
What you need to do to be notified of brand new threads:
1. If needed, please see *Read!* Directions for setting up Bookmarks & Notifications so you can do steps 2 and 3.
2. Bookmark this thread to receive notifications by email that a brand new thread has been started. (You must be a registered member to see and use the Bookmark option.) When a new thread is posted, I will post here with the board name and thread name. My posting will force an email to go out to everyone who has bookmarked this thread and set up notifications for updated activity in bookmarked threads.
3. Make sure you have set up notifications by email in your profile for Bookmarked threads. IF you have set up notifications, you will receive an e-mail of the updated activity in this thread. Until the update, this is the only way to handle this automatically. If notifications are not set up, you’ll need to sporadically visit the forum and check for new threads. Life is busy and we can easily forget to check in on things. Notifications are great for helping us avoid missing out.
NOTE:
Being notified of existing threads is already possible right now. Simply bookmark each one you are interested in and have notifications turned on in your profile. Please refer to the thread *Read!* Directions for setting up Bookmarks & Notifications to learn more. Thank you!
